 HONEST

"Actually, I'm embarrassed to join the BUKBER event"

Shame on the poor where in this fasting month, we are trying to understand their hunger, their absence...

Because we are pretending to be them (fasting), without being them at all.

We break our fast with luxury, while they remain as they are. We have victory days, while they feel lost every day..

We just carry out orders, while they live their lives.

We only delay our hunger, while hunger is in their every breath..

In fact, we prefer to carry out rituals regardless of their meaning.

We prefer to save money for shopping for iftar meals, without thinking about sharing our fortune with those who don't have it.

During Eid we show off what we have to the family, without even thinking that there is a family head who is confused when his son asks, "What are we eating tomorrow, sir?"

And every year, I always feel lost. Lost by my hypocrisy. There's nothing I can be proud of as a win..."

The words of my successive friends seemed to remind me of the meaning of fasting, which was only heard in the pulpits of lectures and disappeared when my feet stepped home.

Man always comforts himself that he has done worship, even though he is actually only carrying out his obligations. Without an order, it is possible that humans will always forget their function in the world...

Do we still have to continue like that..???

May this fasting make us better..

Reflection on the 14th day of Ramadan
